Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about online sessions, the first meeting, confidentiality and booking.
What is the free intro call?
Before we start therapy, we have a free 25–30 minute online intro call. It is not a therapy session but a chance to get to know each other and make an initial assessment. I briefly listen to what brings you here and what you hope for; I explain how I work, how often and how long sessions are and what they cost, and I answer your questions. Then we decide together whether this work suits your needs; if needed, I refer you to a better-suited specialist or service. You are under no obligation to continue after the call.
What is the first session like?
In the first session we start with how we work together and the principles of confidentiality; then you describe in your own words what brought you here and what you need. You do not have to tell everything at once. Sessions usually last 50 minutes.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?
For fee information, please get in touch.
How do online sessions work?
Sessions can be held online. You will be sent a link for your appointment; it helps to join from a quiet, uninterrupted place with headphones. A session usually lasts 50 minutes.
Will what I share stay confidential?
What you share in sessions is kept confidential, and your personal data is protected as described in the privacy notice. There can be legal exceptions to confidentiality; we can talk them through in the first session. In an emergency, or if you do not feel safe, contact the 112 emergency line without waiting.
Can I cancel an appointment?
If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please let us know by e-mail as early as you can. You are welcome to get in touch for details.
